Seems every year there are more and more calls for brand new fitness machines, Health clubs and rehabilitation center and even individuals because they just can’t fix their fitness machines.
Rather than having to buy new fitness equipment I am going to share some used fitness equipment repair service secrets that will not only help you keep your home gym equipment in tip top shape but the commercial gym equipment as well.
The word comes down to maintenance, just taking a few minutes once a month can add years to your equipments life.
For a treadmill, simply adding some dry wax under the belt on each side of the belt will help reduce the wear and tear. A simple half a second squirt on each side of the belt, gently applied by lifting the belt up with your fingers.
By applying the dry wax in this manner once a month you will extend the life of your treadmill and keep it running for many years of smooth service.
On a side note you don’t want to apply to much dry wax because that can cause issues as well, we try to do all the equipment around the same time every month and keep a little journal and check off that the waxing was done for the month.
Keeping a little journal of your fitness equipment maintenance is also another good idea because if you go to sell the equipment and they have the service records with the sale you may get some extra money for doing something that you should do anyway.
Another used fitness equipment repair secret is simple but you would be surprised at how many people don’t do this. Turn your machine off, in today’s energy conservation minded individuals they think that unplugging from the outlet is the way to shut the machine off. That is true you are shutting the machine off and saving money by not having the fitness machine plugged in but the circuitry is still running inside the machine.
So if you are going to unplug the exercise equipment from the outlet make sure you turn the switch to off before you unplug your fitness equipment.
Doing this will save you from having a simple blown fuse costing you $50 plus dollars for a house call from a fitness equipment repair man.
Following a few of these used fitness equipment repair secrets you will find yourself saving some money and getting a great workout as well.
